Getting There

• Bus

  If you are starting from downtown Austin, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Capital Metro Bus Route 20 (North Lamar/South Congress). Get off at the 'Crestview Station' stop. From there, you will need to transfer to Bus Route 3 (Burnet/Manchaca) towards 'Burnet Rd.' and get off at the '38th St & Burnet Rd' stop. After you get off, walk north on Burnet Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach Mt Bonnell Rd. Turn left onto Mt Bonnell Rd and continue walking for about 0.6 miles until you reach Covert Park at Mount Bonnell, located at 3800 Mt Bonnell Rd.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-share stations in downtown Austin. Head north on the Shoal Creek Trail, which is a scenic route that will take you towards the northern part of the city. Continue on the trail until you reach 38th St, then turn left and head west until you reach Burnet Rd. From there, take a right and continue on Burnet Rd until you reach Mt Bonnell Rd. Turn left onto Mt Bonnell Rd and bike for about 0.6 miles to Covert Park at Mount Bonnell.

• Walking

  If you are near the University of Texas at Austin, you can walk to Covert Park at Mount Bonnell. Start by heading north on Guadalupe St. Continue on Guadalupe St until you reach 38th St. Turn left on 38th St and walk west until you reach Burnet Rd. Turn right on Burnet Rd and walk north for about 0.5 miles. Then, turn left onto Mt Bonnell Rd and continue walking for about 0.6 miles to reach Covert Park at Mount Bonnell.

• Rideshare

  If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a rideshare service such as Uber or Lyft. Simply open the app and enter 'Covert Park at Mount Bonnell' or the address '3800 Mt Bonnell Rd, Austin, TX 78731.' The driver will take you directly to the entrance of the park. This is a convenient option especially if you're coming from a location further away.
