Getting There

• Bus

  From downtown Austin, head to the nearest bus stop on Congress Avenue. Take Bus Route 7 (which you can catch from the Capital Metro bus stop) towards 'North Loop'. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes until you reach the 'Red River & 23rd' stop. From there, walk north on Red River Street for about 5 minutes, and you will find the LBJ Presidential Library at 2313 Red River St.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around downtown Austin. Head north on the Shoal Creek Greenbelt trail, and then connect to the University of Texas campus. Follow the bike paths to Red River Street, then continue south until you reach the LBJ Presidential Library at 2313 Red River St. This ride should take about 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, walking is a great option! Start from the Texas State Capitol building. Head north on Congress Avenue and turn right onto 15th Street. Continue straight until you reach Red River Street, then turn left. Walk north for about 15-20 minutes, and you will arrive at the LBJ Presidential Library at 2313 Red River St.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  You can easily use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft. Simply set your destination to 'LBJ Presidential Library, 2313 Red River St, Austin, TX'. The driver will take you there directly. The ride from downtown Austin should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
