Getting There

• Bus

  If you're near downtown Austin, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Capital Metro Bus Route 19 or Route 7 towards East Austin. If you are starting from the Texas State Capitol, walk to the nearest bus stop on 15th and Lavaca streets. Board either Route 19 or Route 7 and ride until you reach the stop at 1601 Navasota St, which is just a short walk from Oakwood Cemetery.

• Bicycle

  From downtown Austin, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations. Start by heading east on East 15th Street. Continue straight until you reach Navasota Street, then take a left. Oakwood Cemetery will be on your right at 1601 Navasota St. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the East Austin area, you can walk to Oakwood Cemetery. From the intersection of East 11th and Navasota Streets, walk north on Navasota Street for about 5 blocks. The cemetery entrance will be on your right at 1601 Navasota St. It's a pleasant walk and will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Scooter

  Use a scooter-sharing service available throughout Austin. Locate a nearby scooter and head north on East 11th Street. After about 5 blocks, turn left onto Navasota Street, and continue for a couple of blocks until you reach Oakwood Cemetery at 1601 Navasota St. This journey will take roughly 10 minutes.
