Republic Square: A Green Oasis in Downtown Austin

Getting There

• Public Bus

  If you are near a bus stop, check the local bus schedules for routes that head towards downtown Austin. Look for bus routes that stop at the 'Guadalupe St & 4th St' stop. From there, walk south on Guadalupe Street for about 2 blocks. Republic Square is located at 422 Guadalupe St, directly on your left.

• Biking

  If you have access to a bike, you can use the bike lanes throughout the city. From the East side of the river, head west on the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail until you reach Congress Avenue Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue north on Congress Avenue. Turn left on 4th Street and continue until you reach Guadalupe Street. Turn right on Guadalupe Street, and Republic Square will be on your left at 422 Guadalupe St.

• Walking

  If you're close to the Texas State Capitol, you can walk to Republic Square. Head south on Congress Avenue from the Capitol. After about 0.5 miles, turn right on 4th Street. Walk for about 2 blocks until you reach Guadalupe Street. Turn left on Guadalupe Street, and Republic Square will be located at 422 Guadalupe St on your left.

• Rideshare

  You can use rideshare services like Uber or Lyft. Simply input 'Republic Square, 422 Guadalupe St, Austin, TX 78701' as your destination. The driver will drop you off directly at the entrance of the park.
