If you are starting at the Texas State Capitol, walk to the nearby 'Capitol Metro Rail' station located on 15th Street. Board the MetroRail, heading south towards the downtown area. Get off at the 'Downtown Station'. From there, transfer to the 'Metro Bus 5' or 'Metro Bus 7' routes at the bus stop nearby. Both buses will take you toward Rio Grande Street. Alight at the 'Rio Grande/12th Street' stop. From the bus stop, walk north along Rio Grande Street for about 5 minutes, and Robinson-Macken House will be on your right at 702 Rio Grande St #102.

Start by heading towards the nearest bike path that leads to the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail around Lady Bird Lake. Ride along the trail, then exit at the 'Lamar Boulevard' bridge. Once on Lamar, head north until you reach 15th Street. Turn right on 15th Street, then left onto Rio Grande Street. Continue riding north for approximately 10 minutes, and you will reach Robinson-Macken House at 702 Rio Grande St #102.
