Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car from anywhere in the Blackland Prairie region, take TX-21 W towards Lockhart. After approximately 20 miles, turn right onto State Park Road (look for signs for Lockhart State Park). Continue for about 2 miles, and you will see the park entrance on your right at 2012 State Park Rd, Lockhart, TX 78644. Parking is available at the park entrance, and there is typically no entry fee required, but it's best to check the Texas Parks and Wildlife website for any updates.

• Public Transportation

  If you prefer public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus to Lockhart from larger cities such as Austin or San Antonio. Once you arrive at the Lockhart bus station, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to take you the remaining distance to Lockhart State Park, which is about 4 miles from the bus station.
