From downtown Brownsville, head to the nearest Metro Connect bus stop. Take Route 11 (West Brownsville) which operates frequently. The bus will take you towards the West side of the city. You will need to get off at the stop closest to the intersection of New Carmen Ave and 14th St. Once you get off the bus, walk north on New Carmen Ave for about 0.5 miles. The entrance to Resaca De La Palma State Park will be on your right.

If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Brownsville. Start from the downtown area and head west on E 13th St until you reach Boca Chica Blvd. Turn right onto Boca Chica Blvd and continue until you reach New Carmen Ave. Turn left onto New Carmen Ave and continue for about 1 mile. The entrance to Resaca De La Palma State Park will be on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations.
