Getting There

  If you are traveling by car, start on US-75 N from your location in Central Texas. Continue on US-75 N for approximately 90 miles. Take exit 1A for US-82 E toward Paris. Merge onto US-82 E and continue for about 20 miles. Once you reach Paris, Texas, take the exit for Church St and turn left onto S Church St. The Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site will be on your right at 812 S Church St, Paris, TX 75460. Note that parking is available nearby.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound bus to Paris, TX from various locations in Central Texas. Once you arrive at the Greyhound station in Paris, you can either take a taxi or rideshare service to get to the Sam Bell Maxey House State Historic Site. The address is 812 S Church St, which is approximately 2 miles away from the bus station. Expect taxi fares to be around $10-15.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, you can ride from downtown Paris to the Sam Bell Maxey House. Start at the downtown area and head south on S Main St, then turn left onto E 10th St. Continue until you reach S Church St and turn right.
