If you are starting from anywhere in the South Side, locate the nearest bus stop for the Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) and board the Route 5 bus heading towards the downtown area. The fare is $1.50 per person, and you can pay with cash. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Shoreline Blvd @ N. Beach,' which is approximately a 25-minute ride. After getting off, walk east towards the water for about 10 minutes until you reach the USS Lexington, located at 2914 N Shoreline Blvd.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer a more active approach, consider renting a bicycle. There are several bike rental stations in South Side, such as those near local parks or the mall. Upon renting a bike, head north on S Staples St, then turn left onto N Shoreline Blvd. Continue riding straight for about 2 miles, which should take around 15-20 minutes. You will arrive at the USS Lexington, a prominent landmark on the waterfront.

If you are close enough to walk, head towards N Shoreline Blvd. Depending on your exact location in South Side, walk north on S Alameda St or S Staples St until you reach the intersection with N Shoreline Blvd. Once you reach N Shoreline Blvd, head east along the waterfront for about 1.5 miles, which should take approximately 30-40 minutes on foot. The USS Lexington will be clearly visible as you approach.
