From the main entrance of Lost Maples State Natural Area, head south on Ranch Road 187 towards Utopia. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Highway 90. Turn right onto Highway 90 and drive for about 10 miles. Next, take the exit for Highway 83 South towards Leakey. Continue on Highway 83 for about 14 miles until you reach Concan. Once in Concan, follow the signs to Garner State Park and Garner Dam. The picnic area is located near the dam, with parking available.
