Ascarate Park: El Paso's Urban Oasis

Getting There

• Bus

  From any point in Westside, make your way to the nearest Sun Metro bus stop. You can use the Sun Metro app or website to find your closest stop. Once at the bus stop, board the Route 66 bus towards Delta Drive. This route will take you directly towards Ascarate Park. You will need to pay a fare of $1.50 for a single ride. Keep your bus fare ready, as you will need to pay when you board. After approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic, get off at the stop closest to 6900 Delta Dr. Walk a short distance to the entrance of Ascarate Park.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, you can ride towards Ascarate Park from Westside. Start by heading south on Mesa Street or any local road that leads towards Delta Drive. Follow Delta Drive east until you reach the park entrance at 6900 Delta Dr. Ensure to wear a helmet and follow all local biking regulations. The ride should take around 15-25 minutes depending on your pace.

• Walking

  If you are close enough to Ascarate Park, walking is a great option. Head towards Delta Drive from your location in Westside. If you're near a landmark such as the Westside Library, walk south on the nearest street until you reach Delta Drive. Once you are on Delta Drive, continue walking east until you arrive at the park entrance at 6900 Delta Dr. This walk may take around 30-40 minutes depending on your starting point.
