Public Transit
From Galveston, head to the nearest bus stop for the Island Transit service. Take the Route 1 bus towards the Ferry Terminal. Ride until you reach the Galveston Ferry Terminal. Once there, take the ferry across to the Kemah area. The ferry ride provides beautiful views of the Gulf and typically runs every 30 minutes. After disembarking, follow the signs towards Main Street, then take a left on 6th Street. The Kemah Lighthouse is at 706 6th St, just a short walk from the ferry landing.

Bicycle Rental
If you're feeling adventurous, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Galveston. Head east on Seawall Blvd towards 61st St. Once you reach 61st St, turn left and continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Galveston Causeway. Follow the bike path leading to the Causeway, which will take you directly to Kemah. Upon arriving in Kemah, turn right onto 6th Street, and you'll find the Kemah Lighthouse located at 706 6th St.

If you're up for a long walk, starting from the Strand Historic District in Galveston, head east on Strand St until you reach Harborside Drive. Turn left onto Harborside Drive and continue walking until you reach the Galveston Ferry Terminal. Board the ferry to cross over to Kemah. After you arrive at the Kemah side, follow the walking path towards Main Street, then make a left on 6th Street. The Kemah Lighthouse will be on your left at 706 6th St.
