Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier, walk to the nearest bus stop at 25th Street and Seawall Boulevard. Catch the 'Island Transit' Bus Route 1 towards the 'Galveston Terminal' and ride it for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop near 1 Hope Blvd, which is the Moody Gardens stop. The entrance to Moody Gardens will be a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops near the Seawall. Head east on Seawall Boulevard until you reach 61st Street. Turn left onto 61st Street and continue until you reach the intersection with Hope Boulevard. Turn right onto Hope Boulevard, and Moody Gardens will be on your right. The ride should take about 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.

• Walking

  If you're close to the Seawall and want to enjoy a scenic walk, start at the intersection of Seawall Boulevard and 61st Street. Walk east along Seawall Boulevard until you reach 61st Street. Turn left at 61st Street and walk until you hit Hope Boulevard. Turn right at Hope Boulevard, and you will see Moody Gardens on your right. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

• Taxi or Rideshare

  For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride to '1 Hope Blvd, Galveston, TX 77554', and the driver will take you directly to Moody Gardens. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
