Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From The Woodlands, you can catch the Montgomery County Public Transportation bus (Route 2) at The Woodlands Mall bus stop. Board the bus heading towards Conroe. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Tomball Parkway and FM 2920 stop. From there, transfer to the Harris County Transit (Route 1) bus that goes to Tomball. It will take approximately 15 minutes to reach the downtown Tomball area. Once you arrive at the Tomball Town Center, walk north on Pine Street for about 10 minutes to reach the Tomball Museum Center located at 510 N Pine St.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in The Woodlands. Start from The Woodlands Waterway and head west on Research Forest Drive. Continue onto Woodlands Parkway until you reach the intersection with TX-249. Turn right onto TX-249 and follow it towards Tomball. Upon reaching Tomball, turn left onto Main Street, then right onto Pine Street. The Tomball Museum Center will be on your left at 510 N Pine St, approximately 10 miles from The Woodlands.

    Walking directly from The Woodlands to Tomball is quite a distance (about 10 miles), but if you're up for it, start at The Woodlands Mall and head west on Woodlands Parkway. Follow the path to TX-249, which you will need to cross. Continue walking along the side of the road until you reach the outskirts of Tomball. Once you enter Tomball, navigate to Main Street, then turn left on Pine Street. The Tomball Museum Center will be located at 510 N Pine St.
