If you're in the McAllen downtown area, start at the McAllen Public Library located at 4001 N 23rd St. Head south on 23rd St for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with N Main St. Turn right onto N Main St and continue walking for about half a mile. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Continue until you reach 308 S Main St, which is La Placita. It will be on your left side.

From your location, find the nearest bus stop for Metro McAllen. Take Route 1 (the Blue line) towards the McAllen Central Station. Once you arrive at the station, transfer to Route 3 (the Green line) towards 23rd St. Get off at the stop at N Main St & S 3rd St. Walk south on Main St for about 2 blocks until you reach 308 S Main St, which is La Placita.

If you have access to a bike, start from the McAllen Bicycle Shop located at 1416 N 10th St. Head south on 10th St until you reach the intersection with N Main St. Turn right onto N Main St and bike south for about 1.5 miles. La Placita, located at 308 S Main St, will be on your left side. There are bike racks available for parking your bike.
