Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from any point within Padre Island National Seashore, get onto Park Road 100 and head toward Port Isabel. Follow the signs for Port Isabel. Once you reach the intersection with Highway 100, turn left onto Highway 100. Continue straight for about 3 miles until you reach the city of Port Isabel. When you arrive in Port Isabel, follow the road until you see E Queen Isabella Blvd. Turn right onto E Queen Isabella Blvd, and the Port Isabel Lighthouse State Historic Site will be on your right at 421 E Queen Isabella Blvd. Parking is available nearby, but be advised that there may be fees depending on the specific area you park in.

  For those using public transportation, you can take the local bus service that connects Padre Island to Port Isabel. Check the local bus schedule for routes that run to Port Isabel, as they may vary. Once you arrive at the Port Isabel bus stop, walk towards E Queen Isabella Blvd. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to the lighthouse from the bus stop. You will head south on the main road and turn right onto E Queen Isabella Blvd. The lighthouse should be visible as you approach.

The ride should take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your pace.
