Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from any location in Piney Woods, head southwest on the nearest main road toward TX-19 S. Merge onto TX-19 S, and continue for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 233 for US-79 S toward Palestine. Continue on US-79 S for about 6 miles until you reach Palestine. Once in the city, turn right onto W Spring St, and the Palestine Visitor Center will be on your left at 825 W Spring St, Palestine, TX 75801. There is no parking fee at the center.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, check for any local bus services that connect Piney Woods to Palestine. You may need to take a bus towards Palestine from the nearest bus station. Once you arrive in Palestine, you can either walk or take a local taxi service to the Palestine Visitor Center located at 825 W Spring St. Be sure to confirm the bus schedules and routes in advance, as they may vary.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can ride on local roads leading to Palestine. Ensure you have a map or GPS, as some routes can be less direct. The bike ride will take approximately 1-2 hours depending on your starting point in Piney Woods and your cycling speed. Once you arrive in Palestine, navigate to W Spring St, where the Palestine Visitor Center is located. Note that you may need to lock your bike at a designated area.
