From anywhere in Red River Valley, head towards US-90 W. If you are starting from Del Rio, take US-90 W for approximately 75 miles. After reaching the town of Vanderpool, turn left onto RM 187. Continue on RM 187 for about 5 miles, and you will find Lost Maples State Natural Area on your right at 37221 RM 187, Vanderpool, TX 78885. Parking is available at the entrance, and there is a small entrance fee of $6 per vehicle.
