From Sugar Land, head to the nearest bus stop at the Sugar Land Town Square. Take the Fort Bend County Public Transportation bus route 40 towards the 'Fulshear' direction. This bus will take you to the 'Westheimer & W. Loop' stop. From there, transfer to Metro Bus 64 or 29, which will take you towards the Texas Medical Center. Get off at the 'Hermann Park Dr & Main St' stop, which is a short walk from the Cockrell Butterfly Center.
Bike
If you prefer biking, start from Sugar Land Town Square and head south on University Blvd. Continue until you reach the intersection with the Houston Museum District, which will take approximately 45 minutes depending on your speed. Follow the bike lanes along Main St towards Hermann Park. Once you reach Hermann Park, look for signs directing you to the Cockrell Butterfly Center, located at 5555 Hermann Park Dr.
Walking
Walking to the Cockrell Butterfly Center from Sugar Land can be a lengthy journey, as it's approximately 20 miles. If you are up for it, start at Sugar Land Town Square and head south on University Blvd, then connect to the walking trails that lead towards the Medical Center Area. It will take you about 6 hours to reach your destination on foot. Be sure to have plenty of water and comfortable shoes for the journey.
