  • Public Transportation

    From The Woodlands, head to the nearest bus stop that services the METRO bus line. You can catch the METRO Park & Ride bus from The Woodlands Town Center. Take the bus towards downtown Houston. Get off at the 'Main Street and Rusk Street' stop. From there, transfer to the METRO light rail at the Main Street Square Station. Take the light rail towards the 'Fannin South' direction. Get off at the 'Museum District' stop. Once you exit the station, walk south on Montrose Blvd towards Hermann Park Drive. The Cockrell Butterfly Center will be on your left at 5555 Hermann Park Dr.

  • Bicycle

    If you're renting a bicycle, start at The Woodlands Waterway and head south on the Woodlands Parkway. Continue towards I-45 and cross over to the south side. Follow the bike paths leading to the south towards the Houston area. Once you reach the city limits, follow the signs for Hermann Park. The Cockrell Butterfly Center is located at 5555 Hermann Park Dr, which is easily accessible by bike within Hermann Park.

    If you are close to the Woodlands Mall, you can walk to the nearest METRO Park & Ride at The Woodlands Town Center. From there, board the bus heading to Houston. Once you arrive in downtown Houston, walk to the Main Street Square Station. Take the light rail towards Fannin South and get off at the Museum District stop. After exiting, head south along Montrose Blvd, which leads you directly to Hermann Park, where the Cockrell Butterfly Center is located at 5555 Hermann Park Dr.
