Public Bus
From Sugar Land Town Square, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Town Square Blvd and University Blvd. Take the Fort Bend County Public Transportation bus route 40, which will take you towards the Westpark Tollway. After about 30 minutes, get off at the Westpark Tollway and Gessner Rd stop. From there, transfer to the METRO bus route 49, which will take you directly to downtown Houston. Get off at the stop near Bagby St and Walker St, then walk a short distance to 410 Bagby St, where the Downtown Aquarium is located.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing program. Start at Sugar Land Town Square and head north on University Blvd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the Westpark Tollway, then turn right and follow the bike lane to the intersection with Gessner Rd. From there, follow the bike path signs leading towards downtown Houston. Once you reach the Houston city limits, continue until you reach Bagby St. The Downtown Aquarium will be on your right at 410 Bagby St.
Walking
If you are up for a long walk, you can start from Sugar Land Town Square. Head north on University Blvd until you reach the intersection with the Westpark Tollway. Cross the tollway and proceed to Gessner Rd. Continue walking along Gessner Rd heading north. This will lead you into Houston. Once you reach downtown Houston, turn left on Walker St and then right on Bagby St. The Downtown Aquarium is located at 410 Bagby St, which will be on your left.
