Getting There

• Public Transit

  To get to the Lone Star Flight Museum from Sugar Land, start by walking to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Fort Bend Transit bus route 30, which operates from the Sugar Land area. Board the bus heading towards the West Loop and make sure to check the schedule for the latest timings. After approximately 30-40 minutes, you will arrive at the West Loop Terminal. From there, transfer to the METRO bus route 88 towards the South Belt and ride for about 25 minutes until you reach the stop at Aerospace Ave. The museum will be a short walk from the bus stop.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Sugar Land. Head north on University Blvd towards Highway 6, then take the bike lane along Highway 6 to reach the intersection with Beltway 8. Continue east on the bike path until you reach the South Belt area. From there, take the bike paths along the roads leading to Aerospace Ave. The museum is located just off the main road, and there is bike parking available.

  Though it is a long distance, walking to the Lone Star Flight Museum can be an adventurous option. Begin at the Sugar Land Town Square and head east along the pedestrian pathways until you reach Highway 6. Continue walking along the sidewalks of Highway 6 heading north until you reach Beltway 8. Follow the pedestrian paths leading towards Aerospace Ave, and you will eventually arrive at the museum. Be prepared for a long walk, approximately 4-5 miles, and remember to wear comfortable shoes.
