Getting There

• Public Bus

  From your location in Sugar Land, head to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Fort Bend Transit bus route 2 southbound towards the 'Katy Freeway' station. Get off at the 'Katy Freeway' station and transfer to the Metro bus route 40. Board the Metro bus 40 towards 'Downtown', and stay on for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Main St @ Hermann Dr' stop. From there, it's a short walk to McGovern Centennial Gardens, located at 1500 Hermann Dr, Houston, TX 77004.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing programs in Sugar Land. Start by heading north on Sweetwater Blvd towards the Sugar Land Town Square. From there, take the bike lane on Highway 6 North towards US-59. Continue onto the bike path along the freeway until you reach the Medical Center area. Follow the signs to Hermann Park, and you will find McGovern Centennial Gardens at 1500 Hermann Dr.

From there, walk south along Main Street for about 25 minutes until you reach Hermann Park.
