Getting There

• Public Bus

  From Sugar Land Town Square, walk to the nearest bus stop on University Blvd at Town Square. Take the Fort Bend County Public Transportation bus (Route 2) towards the Richmond Transit Center. Get off at the stop at the intersection of Main St and Texas Ave in Houston. Then, transfer to the METRO Bus 40 towards the Northwest Transit Center. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop on Montrose Blvd at Sul Ross St. From there, walk a short distance west on Sul Ross St to reach The Menil Collection at 1533 Sul Ross St.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service available in Sugar Land. Head north on University Blvd towards the intersection with Highway 6. Continue on the bike lane on Highway 6 north until you reach the intersection with Westpark Tollway. Take the Westpark Tollway bike route toward Houston. Once you reach Montrose Blvd, turn left and ride until you reach Sul Ross St. The Menil Collection will be on your right at 1533 Sul Ross St.

  To walk to The Menil Collection, start at Sugar Land Town Square. Head north on University Blvd towards Highway 6. Continue walking north until you reach the bus terminal. From there, catch a bus to Houston (as described earlier) or continue walking along Main St. until you reach the Westpark Tollway. Follow the pedestrian path along the Westpark Tollway to Montrose Blvd. Once you reach Montrose Blvd, head north and take a right on Sul Ross St. The museum will be on your right at 1533 Sul Ross St.

  For a more direct route, use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and set your destination as 'The Menil Collection, 1533 Sul Ross St, Houston, TX 77006'.
