From The Woodlands Mall, head to the nearest bus stop located at 1201 Lake Woodlands Dr. Take the Metro bus route 388 towards the 'North Harris College'. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'Gray St @ Main St' stop in Houston. Once you get off, walk south on Main St towards Waugh Dr, which is about a 10-minute walk (0.5 miles). Turn left onto Waugh Dr and continue walking until you reach the Waugh Drive Bat Colony.

If you are renting a bike, start from The Woodlands Waterway. Head south on the Waterway, then take the path towards the Woodlands Parkway. Follow Woodlands Parkway to the intersection with I-45, then take the path leading to the 'Woodlands Town Center'. Continue towards the south on the paths that connect to the 'Houston Greenway', which will lead you towards downtown Houston. Once you get to downtown, follow the signs to Waugh Dr, which is approximately a 15-mile ride from The Woodlands.

Head southwest towards the Woodlands Waterway, then follow the Waterway path leading towards the south. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Lake Woodlands Dr. Cross the road and continue walking south until you reach I-45. At this point, you will want to follow the pedestrian paths that lead into downtown Houston. The total distance is roughly 20 miles, so it may take some time. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
