This bus will take you towards the Houston area. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the 'Main @ Walker' stop. From there, transfer to the METRO 49 (Woodland Heights) bus. Ride this bus for about 15 minutes and get off at 'Montrose @ Yupon'. Walk south on Yupon St for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Rothko Chapel.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services in Sugar Land. Start from Sugar Land Town Square and head north on University Blvd. Continue onto Hwy 6, then take the bike-friendly route towards Houston. Follow the signs leading to Montrose. Once you reach Yupon St, turn right and bike south for a few blocks until you reach Rothko Chapel at 3900 Yupon St. Be cautious of traffic and ensure to wear a helmet.
Walking
Although walking from Sugar Land to Rothko Chapel is not practical due to the distance, if you're in a nearby area such as Stafford, you can walk to the chapel. Start from the Stafford Center and head west on W Airport Blvd. Follow it until you reach the intersection with Main St. Turn right on Main St and continue until you reach Montrose Blvd. Turn left and keep walking until you reach Yupon St. Turn right on Yupon St, and Rothko Chapel will be on your left.
