Getting There

• Public Transit

  From The Woodlands, head to the nearest Metro bus station at 1201 Lake Woodlands Dr. Catch the 'Woodlands Express' bus heading towards Houston. The bus will take you directly to the downtown area. Disembark at the 'Main St. at Rusk St.' stop. From there, walk south on Main St. for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection with McKee St. Turn left onto McKee St. and walk for another 3 minutes to arrive at 850 McKee St, where the Houston Underground is located.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in The Woodlands. Start at the Woodlands Waterway and follow the path south towards the Grogans Mill Rd. Continue on Grogans Mill Rd until you reach the intersection with Woodlands Pkwy, then turn right. Follow Woodlands Pkwy until you reach the I-45 North Freeway. Cross the freeway using the designated bike path and continue south on the bike lanes towards downtown Houston. Once you reach downtown, navigate to Main St. and then turn left on McKee St. The Houston Underground will be on your left.

• Walking

  If you are in The Woodlands and prefer to walk, start at the Town Center. Head south on Lake Woodlands Dr until you reach the intersection with Woodlands Pkwy. Cross the road and continue walking straight, following Woodlands Pkwy south. After about 3 miles, you will reach the I-45 freeway. Walk under the freeway and proceed towards downtown Houston. Once you approach downtown, follow the signs to Main St. and then turn left onto McKee St. The Houston Underground will be located at 850 McKee St on your left.
