    From The Woodlands, head to the nearest bus stop for the Montgomery County Public Transportation (MCPT) service. Take the route that heads towards the Woodlands Mall. Once you reach the Woodlands Mall, transfer to the bus route heading towards Houston. Ask the driver for the stop closest to the METRO Rail Station in Downtown Houston. Once you arrive at the station, board the METRO Rail heading towards the Museum District. Get off at the 'Museum District' stop. From there, it’s a short 10-minute walk to The Menil Collection. Head east on Bissonnet St, turn left onto Sul Ross St, and the museum will be on your right.

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service available in The Woodlands. Start your ride heading south towards Research Forest Dr. Take a left onto Research Forest Dr and follow it until you reach the intersection with I-45. Continue along the bike path that leads to the Woodlands Waterway. Follow the waterway south until you reach the area around the Woodlands Mall. From there, take the METRO bus or cycle to the nearest public transit station and take the METRO Rail to the Museum District. Once you arrive, it’s about a 10-minute walk to The Menil Collection.
