Public Transit
From The Woodlands Town Center, start by walking to the nearest bus stop for The Woodlands Express. Board the bus heading toward the 'Tomball Park and Ride.' This bus will take you to the Tomball area. The journey takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Tomball Park and Ride, exit the bus and walk to the nearest stop for the local Metro bus service. Take the bus that goes along Farm to Market 2920. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop closest to the intersection with FM 2920 and any nearby landmark, such as the Tomball Public Library. From there, you can walk approximately 0.5 miles to The Which Way Tree, located at Farm to Market 2920.
Bicycle
Start in The Woodlands Town Center and rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing stations. Head south on Lake Woodlands Drive until you reach the entrance of the George Mitchell Nature Preserve. Take the trails that lead you through the preserve, enjoying the scenic views. Continue on the paths until you reach FM 2978, then turn west. Follow FM 2978 until you reach the intersection with Farm to Market 2920. The Which Way Tree will be nearby. Ensure you have a bike map handy as some trails can be less marked.
Walking
If you're in a nearby area, you can walk to The Which Way Tree. It's located at Farm to Market 2920 in Tomball. From The Woodlands, it would be a long walk (around 4-5 miles), so ensure you're prepared for a trek. Start from The Woodlands Mall, head north along the paths that connect to the main roads. Follow the signs leading to FM 2978, then continue west until you reach FM 2920. The Which Way Tree is located along this road. It's a scenic route, but be mindful of traffic.
