Getting There

  • Public Bus

    From the Tyler Transit Center located at 210 E Oakwood St, Tyler, TX 75702, take the Route 1 bus towards the Tyler Mall. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at the intersection of Loop 323 and Hwy 69. From there, transfer to the Route 5 bus which will take you towards the Tyler State Park. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the Tyler Transit schedule for current times and frequencies.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, start from downtown Tyler and head north on Broadway Ave. Continue straight as it becomes Hwy 69. You will follow this road for approximately 6 miles. As you approach Tyler State Park, look for Park Rd 16 on your right. The ride should take about 30-45 minutes, depending on your cycling speed. Please ensure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic rules.

  • Walking

    For those who wish to walk, it is a long trek of about 6 miles from downtown Tyler. Start at the Tyler Public Library located at 201 S College Ave, Tyler, TX 75702. Walk north on College Ave until you reach Loop 323, then turn left and walk along the sidewalk. Continue on Loop 323 until you reach Hwy 69, then cross and follow the highway towards Tyler State Park. This walk will take around 2 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and carry water.
