Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Waco's downtown area, head east on 5th Street towards Austin Avenue. Continue on Austin Avenue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 15th Street. Turn left onto 15th Street and walk for another 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Riverwalk Drive. Turn right onto Riverwalk Drive, and the East Riverwalk will be directly ahead. This route will take you through some charming parts of the city, and you'll have the opportunity to enjoy local shops and cafes along the way.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in downtown Waco. Start your ride heading east on 5th Street, then take a left onto Austin Avenue. From there, continue straight onto 15th Street, following the same route as walking. Once you reach Riverwalk Drive, turn right, and the East Riverwalk will be in sight. The path is mostly flat and very bike-friendly, providing a pleasant ride through the city.

• Public Transit

  You can take the Waco Transit System bus. Board the Route 1 bus from any nearby bus stop in downtown Waco. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop closest to the intersection of 15th Street and Riverwalk Drive. From the bus stop, walk east on Riverwalk Drive for about 0.2 miles, and you will reach the East Riverwalk. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most current times and routes.
