History of Ari

A Name Shaped by Local Roads

Ari is primarily a local area name associated with Phahonyothin Soi 7, Ari Samphan Road and the BTS station that bears the name. Like many Bangkok neighbourhoods, it is defined less by a single formal boundary than by a cluster of roads, sois and transport references recognised in everyday speech. Its urban setting developed as Bangkok expanded northwards beyond the older central districts, replacing or absorbing portions of low-density land with housing, institutional compounds, offices and commercial strips. Northward Urban Expansion
