If you're traveling by car, start by navigating to Sam Roi Yot District in Prachuap Khiri Khan. Use GPS coordinates 12.2058834, 100.0102441 for direct routing to Phraya Nakhon Cave. The drive from major cities in the Chao Phraya River Basin, like Bangkok, takes approximately 3 to 4 hours. Once you arrive in Sam Roi Yot, look for signs directing you to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. There is a parking area near the park entrance where you can leave your vehicle. Note that there may be an entrance fee for the national park, typically around 200 THB per person.
Public Transportation
To reach Phraya Nakhon Cave using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Bangkok to Prachuap Khiri Khan. Buses depart regularly from the Southern Bus Terminal and the fare is approximately 200-300 THB. Once you arrive in Prachuap Khiri Khan, you can take a local minivan or songthaew to Sam Roi Yot District, which will cost around 50-100 THB. Ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. From there, you will need to walk or hire a local guide (which may cost around 500-1000 THB) to reach the cave itself, as it is a short hike from the park entrance.
