Breathtaking Views at Doi Pui View Point

Getting There

• Songthaew

  From the Old City area of Chiang Mai, head to the main road (Ratchadamnoen Road) and look for a Songthaew (red truck taxi) heading towards Doi Suthep. You can flag one down or wait at a designated Songthaew stop. Tell the driver you want to go to Doi Pui View Point. The fare is typically around 40-60 THB per person, depending on your negotiation skills. The driver will take you up the winding road to the entrance of Doi Pui.

• Tuk-Tuk

  For a more private ride, hire a Tuk-Tuk from the Old City or Night Bazaar area. Agree on a fare before starting your journey; it should cost around 300-400 THB for a round trip. The driver will take you to Doi Pui View Point, and you can ask them to wait while you enjoy the view.

• Motorbike Taxi

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can take a motorbike taxi. You can find motorbike taxi stands around Chiang Mai. Agree on the price before getting on, which should be around 100-150 THB to Doi Pui View Point. The motorbike taxi will navigate through traffic and take you to the viewpoint directly.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous, you can hike to Doi Pui View Point. Start from the base of Doi Suthep mountain, near the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep temple. Follow the signs leading to Doi Pui. The hike is approximately 3-4 kilometers and can take around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Bring water and wear comfortable shoes, as the trail can be steep and uneven.
