Songthaew
From the center of Chiang Rai, head to the main bus station (bus terminal) located on Soi 1. Look for the red Songthaews, which are shared taxis that operate in the area. You can ask the driver to take you to Doi Hang. The fare is usually around 20-30 THB. The journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic.
Motorbike Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can find motorbike taxis near the bus station or around popular areas like the Night Bazaar. Approach a motorbike taxi driver and tell them you want to go to Doi Hang, located in Mueang Chiang Rai District. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand, which should be around 50-100 THB, and expect the ride to take about 10-15 minutes.
Walking
If you enjoy walking and are staying nearby, you can walk to Doi Hang from the city center. Start at the Clock Tower in the center of Chiang Rai and head north on Phaholyothin Road. Continue walking for about 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Doi Hang Road. Turn left onto Doi Hang Road, and after approximately another 1 kilometer, you will arrive at Doi Hang. This walk will take around 30-40 minutes, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
