Getting There

  • Songthaew

    From the center of Chiang Rai, head to the main road near the clock tower, where you will find a songthaew (a shared taxi). Look for one heading towards Rop Wiang. Confirm with the driver that they are going to Prachaasanti Road. The fare is usually around 20-30 THB. After about 10-15 minutes, request the driver to drop you off at the intersection of Prachaasanti Road and Rop Wiang. Walk straight down Prachaasanti Road for about 500 meters, and you will see Lilawadi Park on your left.

  • Tuk-tuk

    You can also take a tuk-tuk from the center of Chiang Rai. Simply approach any tuk-tuk driver and tell them you want to go to Lilawadi Park on Prachaasanti Road. It’s best to show them the address: 14 Prachaasanti Rd, Tambon Rop Wiang. The fare should be negotiated beforehand, typically around 100-150 THB. The journey will take approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off right near the park entrance.

    If you prefer to walk and are staying near the city center, start at the clock tower. Head north on Phaholyothin Road until you reach the intersection with Prachaasanti Road. Turn left onto Prachaasanti Road. Continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. Lilawadi Park will be on your left. This walk will take you approximately 20-25 minutes, and you will pass several local shops and cafes along the way.
