Breathtaking Vistas at Mon Pha Dham Viewpoint

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. Drive along the main road until you reach the junction where you will see signs for Mon Pha Dham Viewpoint. Follow the signs and continue driving for about 4 kilometers. The road may be winding, so drive carefully. Upon arrival at the viewpoint, there is a small parking area available. There are no fees for parking.

• Songthaew (Shared Taxi)

  For those using public transportation, head to the Chiang Mai Old City area and look for a Songthaew heading towards Doi Suthep. The fare is typically around 30-50 THB per person. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Mon Pha Dham Viewpoint. The driver will drop you off at the nearest point, and you may need to walk a short distance (approximately 500 meters) to reach the viewpoint.

• Motorbike Rental

  If you prefer more freedom, consider renting a motorbike. Rental shops can be found in Chiang Mai, with prices starting from around 150 THB per day. Navigate to Doi Suthep-Pui National Park, following the same directions as you would by car. Once you get to the viewpoint, you can park your bike in the designated area. Be cautious as the roads can be steep and winding.

• Hiking

  For the more adventurous, you can hike to Mon Pha Dham Viewpoint. Start from the base of Doi Suthep and follow the trails leading up to the viewpoint. The hike takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Be sure to wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water, and consider starting early in the morning to avoid the midday heat.
