Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Doi Suthep-Pui National Park. Drive along the main road, following the signs for Doi Suthep. Once you reach the parking area near Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, you can park your car here. From the parking area, take the footpath leading to the temple which also connects to the trails towards หอคำหลวง. The distance is approximately 2.5 kilometers, so be prepared for a hike. The views along the way are stunning.

Songthaew (Public Transportation)
You can catch a songthaew (red truck taxi) from Chiang Mai city center that goes to Doi Suthep. Get off at the last stop, which is near Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. From there, you can either hike or take a local taxi to get closer to หอคำหลวง. The fare for the songthaew is generally around 30-50 THB per person. Once you reach the parking area, follow the footpath towards หอคำหลวง, which is about 2.5 kilometers away.
