Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the city of Chanthaburi. Head southeast on Route 3 (also known as Sukhumvit Road) towards Laem Sing District. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit toward Laem Sing. Continue on local roads for about 10 kilometers until you reach Bang Kachai. Follow the signs to Ao Yang Beach. Parking is available near the beach, but be prepared to pay a small parking fee, typically around 20-50 THB.
Bus
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Chanthaburi to Laem Sing. Buses frequently depart from Chanthaburi's main bus station. The journey takes about 45 minutes and costs around 30-50 THB. Once you arrive in Laem Sing, you can either take a local songthaew (shared taxi) or a tuk-tuk to Ao Yang Beach. The songthaew ride will cost approximately 20-30 THB and take about 15 minutes.
Motorbike Taxi
Another option is to hire a motorbike taxi from Laem Sing to Ao Yang Beach. This is a faster and more adventurous choice. You can find motorbike taxis near the bus station. The ride will cost around 50-80 THB and take roughly 10 minutes, depending on traffic.
Walking
If you are already in Bang Kachai and prefer a leisurely walk, Ao Yang Beach is accessible on foot. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the center of Bang Kachai. Just follow the coastal road towards the beach, and enjoy the scenic views along the way.
