Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main entrance of Khao Sok National Park. Head south on Route 401 for about 15 kilometers. You will pass the town of Ban Ta Khun. Continue straight until you see signs for Ratchaprapha Dam (also known as Cheow Lan Lake) on your left. Turn onto the Unnamed Road that leads to the Dam. Follow this road for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the Ratchaprapha Dam Scenic Viewpoint. The viewpoint will be well signposted, and parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a minibus or songthaew from Khao Sok National Park to Ban Ta Khun. These can typically be found near the park entrance and leave regularly throughout the day. The fare is approximately 30-50 THB per person. Once in Ban Ta Khun, you can either hire a local taxi or songthaew to take you to the Ratchaprapha Dam Scenic Viewpoint. The taxi fare may range from 200-400 THB depending on negotiation. Confirm with the driver to drop you off at the viewpoint.

If you are already near the Ratchaprapha Dam area, and you enjoy hiking, you can walk to the viewpoint from nearby accommodations. Ensure you have a map or GPS as the roads can be winding and not well-marked. Always bring water and wear comfortable shoes. Depending on your starting point, this could take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour.
