If you are driving, start from White Sand Beach, which is one of the main tourist areas in Koh Chang. Head south on the main road (Route 3149) for about 12 kilometers. You will pass through various towns and avoid any major turns. Look for the signs pointing towards Than Mayom Waterfall. Once you see the sign, turn left onto the road leading to the waterfall. Drive for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Than Mayom Waterfall National Park. There is a small entrance fee of around 200 THB per person, which helps maintain the park. Park your car in the designated area.
Public Transportation
To reach Than Mayom Waterfall using public transport, start at your accommodation and head to the main road where songthaews (shared taxis) operate. Look for a songthaew that says 'Than Mayom' or 'Waterfall' on the front. The fare is typically around 50-100 THB per person depending on your starting point. The songthaew will take you along Route 3149 to the entrance of Than Mayom Waterfall National Park. Once you arrive, you may need to pay the entrance fee of approximately 200 THB per person. From the entrance, it's a short walk to the waterfall itself.
Motorbike Rental
For those who are feeling adventurous, renting a motorbike is a great option. You can rent a motorbike from various shops around the island, typically costing around 150-300 THB per day. From your location, navigate to Route 3149 and head south for about 12 kilometers. Look for signs directing you to Than Mayom Waterfall, then turn left onto the access road for another 3 kilometers until you reach the park entrance. Don't forget to wear a helmet and drive cautiously. Entrance fees of about 200 THB per person are applicable at the park.
