From Krabi Town, you can take a songthaew (shared taxi) to Khao Thong. Head to the main bus terminal in Krabi Town and look for songthaews that have Khao Thong written on them. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Khao Thong, you can either walk to Ao Thalane Pier, which is about 1 km away, or hire a local longtail boat from the nearby beach.
