Getting There

Songthaew
From Pai town center, head to the main road (Rte 1095) where you'll see a line of songthaews (red trucks). Get onto a songthaew heading to Chiang Dao. The ride takes around 1-1.5 hours. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Doi Chiang Dao. Once you arrive in Chiang Dao, you can ask the locals for the best way to reach the base of the mountain, as it may require a short taxi or motorbike ride.

Motorbike rental
If you're feeling adventurous, rent a motorbike from one of the many rental shops in Pai. Once you have your motorbike, take Rte 1095 heading north towards Chiang Dao. The drive is approximately 1 hour and very scenic. Look for signs indicating Doi Chiang Dao. When you reach the town of Chiang Dao, follow the signs to the Doi Chiang Dao entrance, which may require navigating through small local roads.
