Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Pai District in Mae Hong Son Province. From Chiang Mai, take Route 107 north to Route 1095. Continue on Route 1095 for about 135 km until you reach Pai. Once in Pai, follow signs for Pong Sa. Drive along local roads to the coordinates 6H35+G4R (latitude: 19.2038628, longitude: 98.5577734). The drive takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours from Chiang Mai. Be prepared for winding mountain roads and enjoy the scenic views.
Public Transportation
To reach Doi Khun Mae Ya via public transportation, take a bus or minivan from Chiang Mai to Pai. Buses leave from the Arcade Bus Station in Chiang Mai, and the journey takes about 3-4 hours. Once in Pai, hire a local songthaew (shared taxi) or a motorbike taxi to take you to Pong Sa, where Doi Khun Mae Ya is located. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay around 200-300 THB for the ride. Motorbike Rental
