Getting There

• Songthaew

  To get to the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden, start by heading to the nearest Songthaew station in Chiang Mai. You can find Songthaews at popular spots like Tha Phae Gate or the Old City area. Look for a Songthaew with the Mae Rim sign or ask the driver if they go to Mae Raem. Once you're on the Songthaew, it will take you towards Mae Rim. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden. The fare is usually around 50-100 THB depending on your starting point.

• Tuk-Tuk

  If you prefer a more private option, you can hire a Tuk-Tuk to take you directly to the Queen Sirikit Botanic Garden. You can find Tuk-Tuks near popular tourist areas or ask your hotel to arrange one for you. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey; it should be around 300-500 THB, depending on your location in Chiang Mai. It’s about a 30-40 minute walk, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some sun exposure. The garden will be on your right, just after the intersection with the road leading to the Doi Suthep-Pui National Park.
