Car
If you're driving to Wat Dab Pai, start from the center of Chiang Mai. Head north on Suthep Road (Route 1004) towards the Old City. Once you reach the intersection of Suthep Road and Singharat Road, turn left onto Singharat Road. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers, and you will find Wat Dab Pai on your right at 29 Singharat Rd, Si Phum, Mueang Chiang Mai District. Parking is generally available nearby, but be aware that some areas may have limited space.
Public Transportation (Songthaew)
To reach Wat Dab Pai via public transportation, head to the nearest Songthaew (red truck taxi) stop in Chiang Mai. You can find them near popular areas like the Night Bazaar or Old City. Take a Songthaew that is heading towards the Old City area and request to be dropped off at Singharat Road. Once you get off, walk about 500 meters down Singharat Road, and you will see Wat Dab Pai on your right. The fare for the Songthaew usually costs around 30-50 THB depending on the distance.
Public Transportation (Tuk-tuk)
For a more personal experience, you can hire a Tuk-tuk from your location in Chiang Mai. Negotiate the fare beforehand, typically around 100-150 THB for a ride to Wat Dab Pai. The driver will take you directly to the temple, which is located at 29 Singharat Rd, Si Phum, Mueang Chiang Mai District. Make sure to check if the driver is familiar with the location to avoid any confusion.
Walking
If you're staying near the Old City, you can also walk to Wat Dab Pai. From the Tha Phae Gate, walk north along Ratchadamnoen Road until you reach the intersection with Suthep Road. Turn right onto Suthep Road, then take a left onto Singharat Road. The temple will be on your right after about 2 kilometers. This walk takes approximately 30-40 minutes and allows you to enjoy the local scenery.
