Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from the center of Chiang Mai, head north on Huay Kaew Road (Route 1004) towards the university. After approximately 3 km, turn left onto Nimmanhaemin Road (Route 1269). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Suthep Road (Route 121). Turn right onto Suthep Road and follow it for about 1 km, then turn left onto Soi Kuu Tao (Guu Tao Alley). Wat Ku Tao will be located on your left, next to the 60th Anniversary Sports Complex.

  • Public Transportation (Songthaew)

    To reach Wat Ku Tao using a songthaew (red truck taxi), find a songthaew heading towards the Chang Phueak area. You can catch one from various points in the city center. It should cost around 20-40 THB per person. Inform the driver that you would like to go to Wat Ku Tao or the 60th Anniversary Sports Complex. The driver will drop you off close to the temple. From there, it’s just a short walk to the entrance.
