    From central Loei, head to the main bus station (Loei Bus Terminal). Look for a songthaew heading towards Phu Luang. The fare is usually around 30-50 THB. After about 30 minutes, ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Loei Reservoir. You may need to take a short walk of about 1 km once you arrive at the drop-off point, following the signs towards Loei Reservoir.
