If you are driving from Vientiane, Laos, take Route 13 south towards Paksé. Continue on Route 13 for approximately 180 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 23. Take a left onto Route 23 and follow it for about 60 kilometers until you reach Khong. The drive should take around 3-4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Make sure to have your passport and any necessary documents for crossing the border if coming from Laos.

From Paksé, you can take a bus to Khong. Head to the Southern Bus Station in Paksé and look for buses heading to Khong. The journey takes approximately 1.5 hours and costs around 30,000 LAK (approximately $3 USD). Buses depart throughout the day, so check the schedule upon arrival.
