The journey from the border to Siem Reap takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on traffic. Once in Siem Reap, follow the signs to Angkor Wat, which is about 6 km from the city center.

For those using public transportation, take a bus from major cities in Isan, such as Khon Kaen or Ubon Ratchathani, to Surin Province. Buses run regularly and the fare is around 200-300 THB. Once in Surin, you can take a taxi or tuk-tuk to the Chong Chom border crossing. After crossing into Cambodia, you can catch a minivan or taxi to Siem Reap, which will cost approximately $10-$15. From Siem Reap, you can take a tuk-tuk or taxi to Angkor Wat for about $5-$10.
