Songthaew
From the center of Pai, head to the main road (Rte 1095) where you can find a songthaew station. Look for a songthaew heading towards Pang Mapha. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to 'Tham Lot' or 'Nam Lod Cave.' Once you arrive in the Pang Mapha area, the cave is well-marked, and you can either walk or take a short tuk-tuk ride to the entrance.
Tuk-tuk
If you prefer a more private ride, you can hire a tuk-tuk from Pai. Negotiate the price beforehand, but expect to pay around 400-600 THB for a round trip. Request the driver to take you to 'Nam Lod Cave' (or 'Tham Lot') in Pang Mapha District. The journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Coordinate with the driver on a pickup time so you don’t get stranded.
Motorbike Rental
For the more adventurous, rent a motorbike from one of the rental shops in Pai. Ensure you have a valid license and wear a helmet. Head out of Pai on Rte 1095 towards Pang Mapha. After approximately 25 kilometers, look for signs for 'Nam Lod Cave' on your left. The ride is scenic but be cautious of the winding roads.
